LEGO® Review BrickHeadz Ahsoka Tano – 40539 Review

Having just built the Monkey King (40381), I had the opportunity to build Ahsoka Tano. While I loved building the Monkey King for its legend and colour, Ahsoka Tano was a stunning build using the colours of blues, orange and white.

Some basic details on Ahsoka Tano:

  • Set number: 40539
  • Year released: 2022
  • of pieces 164

Ahsoka Tano is a fictional character in Star Wars™. She is introduced in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars as the Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. She is instantly recognisable with colourful headdress. My lad immediately went into great detail to tell me who she is and her importance.

Ahsoka Tano marks the 150th edition of BrickHeadz.

While BrickHeadz are sometimes described as being too repetitive across the genre, I found this build to be very satisfying. As I love colour, the use of lime green 1×2 bricks hits the mark with me. The designer provided varying techniques and colour to make this a great experience.

The build quickly moves toward the montrals that adorn Ahsoka Tano. For me, this is, perhaps, the most striking feature. The mix of plates, wedges and tiles make this ‘headdress’ spectacular.

The printed pieces, 1×4 tiles in orange and white coloration, are simple, but effective. They do not detract from the visually stunning Ahsoka Tano.

In the end, this was another satisfying build. It is well worth considering for your BrickHeadz or Star Wars collection.
