Celebrating International Womens Day | Jane Goodall Tribute

International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8. It commemorates the cultural, political, and social-economic achievements of women.
I think of it as an opportunity to pay tribute to women for their immense achievements. It is an occasion to celebrate the women in our lives who make the world a better place.
In 2021, LEGO® celebrated International Women’s Day with the Amelia Earhart Tribute (40450). This was a fitting tribute to Amelia Earhart who was an American aviation pioneer and author. She was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

In 2022, LEGO® honours International Women’s Day with the Jane Goodall Tribute set (40530). Dame Jane Goodall is an English primatologist and anthropologist. She is considered the world’s foremost expert chimpanzees, and is well-know for the study of chimpanzees, conservation, and animal welfare.

The Jane Goodall Tribute is offered as a gift with purchase from LEGO.com until 15 March and while stocks last.
The set displays a scene in Africa with Jane Goodall observing chimpanzees in their natural environment. LEGO.com says that several elements in the set are made from sustainable elements, which too is fitting in this conservation setting.
The set comes with a Jane Goodall minifigure, 3 chimpanzees, and several plant elements.
While there does not appear to be any unusual techniques in the display, the display is a beautiful acknowledgement of the amazing lifetime dedication by this pioneer, and well worth the spend to add this to your collection.
