Exquisite LEGO McLaren Formula 1 Race Car
In February 2022 LEGO® in collaboration with McLaren Formula 1™, announced a new LEGO® Technic Race Car. As LEGO said:
“The partnership between the LEGO® Group and McLaren continuously develops each time we get together for the next collaboration. We never stop trying to excite and inspire our fans by pushing the limits of possibility through the technology and designs produced both on the racetrack and with LEGO® building.”
Personally, I love this partnership. My favourite to date is the LEGO® 75892 Speed Champions McLaren Senna. Yes, it is much smaller build. But I love it for the connection to the great Ayrton Senna.

Just like the real car, this LEGO® Technic version features a V6 cylinder engine with moving pistons, steering, suspension and differential.”
The new LEGO® Technic McLaren Formula 1™ Race Car packs 1,432 pieces that will be sure to give LEGO® builders an exciting addition to their collection. This exhilarating set measures in at 65 cm long by 27 cm wide by 13 cm in height.
The colours may not appeal to everyone. For me this is an exciting blend of orange, dark azure and black.
The set was released 1 March 2022 and has proven to be popular, as many sites show they are out of stock or show it is coming soon.
Racing Brick has produced a stunning video review of this set, which is well worth looking into.
From what I have seen, this is another amazing build, with interesting techniques used in its construction.
I am looking forward to getting it when it is in stock again.
