LEGO Star Wars Releasing in 2023

Each new year brings the release of new and exciting sets. With each new year, we always anticipate amazing new in Star Wars sets.

The first three announced – and available for purchase in many countries – are definitely in my “exciting category”.

75344: Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter

75345: 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack

75347: TIE Bomber

75344: Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter

Microfighters are always an interesting smaller build. Sometimes I wish there were more. I am nevertheless grateful for this new addition.

[Microfighters are miniature versions of Star Wars ships, which are usually accompanied by a LEGO minifigure that can be placed on it.]

This is a quick build that will appeal to young and old alike. With 85 pieces, it may be something you can get done over your mid-morning coffee.

I have seen some comments asking why there is no antenna on Boba Fett’s helmet. The answer to this is that this minifigure follows “The book of Boba Fett” series in which he has no antenna.

For collector’s, this set is an inexpensive way to get hold of the minifigure. For MOC builders, this set provides some interesting parts to add to their inventory.

75345: 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack

All Star Wars Troopers are welcome. Some of us collect them just for display purposes. A few will gather large armies in MOC scenes and settings. Whatever your plans are, the Troopers are great to collect.

This battle pack comes with three unique troopers, which are a 501st Officer, 501st Clone Specialist and two 501st Heavy Troopers. Each minifigure is equipped with its own weapon for play. The 119-piece set includes a buildable AV-7 anti-vehicle cannon that has a spring-loaded shooter. This may even become something you can use to create your own MOC.

75347: TIE Bomber

It has been a while since the last minifigure scale LEGO TIE Bomber was produced. You need to go back to 2003 for the last 4479: TIE Bomber. The last set had 230 pieces and included one minifigure, a TIE Bomber Pilot.

The 2023 edition, 75347: TIE Bomber, comes with 625 pieces. The set comes with four minifigures including Darth Vader, Vice Admiral Sloane, a TIE Bomber Pilot and a Gonk Droid.

The set celebrates 40th anniversary of the Return of the Jedi and will make this a collectable LEGO set to own.

The set features a minifigure cockpit that opens, a torpedo dropping function (it holds four torpedoes) and a two stud shooter.

Early reviews of the TIE Bomber are positive. Everything I have seen of the TIE Bomber makes it a must-have set to build and add to your collection of Star Wars Imperial forces.

Happy building!
