New City Lego 2022
2022 brings many new City sets to LEGO®. According to Brickset and the Brothers Brick, there are at least 20 new City sets that launched in January.
LEGO City brings tons more fun for MOC city builders and children alike with a new Fire Station (60320), Fire Brigade (60231), Police Station (60316), and a new Hospital (60330).
New LEGO City Sets
Each of these sets on their own will be a nice get for your city or an expansion to existing sets such as the City Hospital (60204) which was released in 2018. Having built the City Hospital (60204), I will be exploring ways to add the new Hospital (60330) as a new wing.
The inclusion of new road plates in each set allows the builder to slowly transform their city landscape. 2022 is no different in bringing us new ways to incorporate the road plates.
Additions to New City LEGO Sets
It is worth considering Picnic in the Park (60326) as an addition to your city. Although not new to LEGO®, the set includes 2 squirrels (dark orange and black), and a couple of small vehicles that beautifully add to your park.
New LEGO Space and Lunar Sets
For space and lunar enthusiasts, there will be 3 new sets in the Space ‘sub-set’, Lunar Space Station (60349), Lunar Research Base (60350), and Rocket Launch Centre (60351). This extends possibilities for space-based themes. Look out for sets launching in March 2022.
